Deposit when signing up for a game

Players should have to deposit a small amount — maybe $5, maybe the cost of one session — when they sign up for a paid game with instant approval. Deposits go towards paying the price of the first session, but are non-refundable.

I’ve had tons of players sign up for a game and then leave before making it to their first session, even when they find my prep materials and join my Discord/VTT.

Users like this take up space in the game and keep paying players from joining, then end up not paying anything. All it does is hurt us as GMs. It’s not unlikely that users could be intentionally doing this due to a moral objection to paid GMing, which is a sentiment still very much alive in many communities.

Users should have to put a deposit down before accessing our resources and taking up space as a player!
